Summit Seekers: Conquering Mount Kenya's Towering Peaks.

Nestled in the heart of the equator lies a majestic wonder, Mount Kenya, the sole mountain with snow at the equator. A 4-day journey unveils a trekking odyssey from Nairobi to its peak, Point Lenana. Commencing at Sirimon Gate, the expedition meanders through diverse landscapes, from the verdant allure of Old Moses Camp to the awe-inspiring expanse of Mackinder’s Valley. The experience culminates with a breathtaking sunrise at Point Lenana, offering a panoramic spectacle that captures the essence of this remarkable adventure. Join this odyssey to explore the unparalleled beauty and natural splendor of Mount Kenya.

DAY 1: NAIROBI TO MOUNT KENYA SIRIMON GATE.

There will be a meet and greet from our team representative, and you will later depart for Nanyuki Mount Kenya Sirimon Gate, where you will have lunch. After lunch, you will have a short safari briefing from one of the early mountaineers and later begin the trek up to Old Moses Camp. This walk will take about 2 ½ hours. You will be able to take photos of wildlife such as birds, animals, and vegetation inhabiting the ecosystem. We shall reach the bunk house late in the afternoon, ready for dinner and accommodation.

DAY 2: OLD MOSES CAMP TO MAKINDERS VALLEY.

After an early breakfast, we begin the walk towards the breathtaking Mackinder’s Valley towards Shipton’s Camp, which is 4200 meters above sea level. This walk will take 6-7 hours and cover a very spectacular viewpoint and the different flora and fauna of Upper Attitude. Lunch will be en route to dinner, and we will spend the night at Shipton's camp.

DAY 3: MAKINDERS VALLEY TO POINT LENANA.

If the team is ready, we wake up at 2:30 a.m. when it is still dark and hike up to Point Lenana to catch the amazing sunrise. Lenana is the third-highest peak of the mountain, and the views are spectacular when the sun comes up. After the sun rises, the party gets a chance to take a few or as many photos as they can, and then we head back down to Shipton’s or ahead to Mackinder’s camp according to your package to have breakfast and spend the day relaxing after the very early start.

DAY 4: POINT LENANA TO MET STATION TO NAROMORU GATE OR CHOGORIA GATE-NAIROBI.

After breakfast, we take a gentle walk down through the last of the Alpine zone and descend through the vertical bog and into the higher mountain forest for 2–3 hours. A walk down through the forest brings us to the Narumoru park gate or Chogoria route, where our vehicles await to transfer you back to Nairobi, arriving there late in the afternoon for drop-off.
